Peace Academy

Peace Academy is about resolving and avoiding conflict, about cooperation and consensual decision making. The focus is on the how to work together, on how to do peace. With training, capacity building, advisory and consultancy Peace Academy contributes to peace processes worldwide, to cooperation and consensual decision making in the Netherlands and to organizations who find themselves in the stormy waters of (internal) conflict and societal tensions. We empower people to work on peace that lasts.

How we work

Peace Academy works tailor-made and demand driven. We have a toolbox which we apply in a modular fashion, depending on what is needed. Peace Academy comes alongside people, organizations and companies to support in dealing with conflicts. We work from a number of operational principles and core values.

Where we work

Peace Academy operates globally, supporting processes in conflict prevention and resolution, both in still active conflicts as well as post-conflict environments. Societal tensions exists everywhere and Peace Academy is therefore active in the Netherlands, where the company is based, in finding ways to lessen tensions and find cooperative ways forward. Similarly, conflicts happen not only in society, but also in organizations and companies. These conflicts might be caused by internal change, but also external change where societal pressures impact the operational environment and capacities of organizations and companies. We also support clients in navigating complicated negotiation processes.

What we do

Peace Academy is active in five different service areas: conflict and cooperation challenges, robustness scans, training and coaching, toolbox development and research and developing new initiatives. Our modular approach allows us to combine services and tools to fit context and objectives.
